Teeth Whitening – Bleaching
Kayseri Teeth Whitening can be applied in a clinical setting (office type whitening) or can be applied by the patient at home (home type whitening). The consecutive application of office and home type whitening methods prolongs the permanence of the whitening. Office type whitening is performed by applying a whitening gel to your teeth by your dentist and activating this gel using a light source. Home type whitening is applied by the patient by putting a certain amount of the special whitening gel given to you by your dentist into the plates prepared for the person according to the measurements taken from the jaw. These plates remain in the mouth for 3-4 hours during the day, depending on the properties of the applied gel.
Office Type Teeth Whitening What is Home Type Teeth Whitening
Since the effectiveness of home type whitening alone is less than office type whitening and the application period is longer, it is not preferred by patients.
In order for whitening applications to be successful and the results to be preserved for a long time, the person must pay attention to their diet after whitening. It is recommended to stay away from colored foods and drinks such as cigarettes, tea, coffee, chocolate, cherry, caramel, tomato paste for 2 weeks. In addition, acidic foods and drinks should be avoided as they will cause sensitivity. After whitening, using whitening toothpastes increases the duration of the whiteness achieved; toothpastes containing abrasives cause both coloration and sensitivity.
Although the whitening process is perceived as a cosmetic procedure, it cannot be said that it can be applied to every individual and will be successful. Therefore, the whitening process should be performed after the patient’s mouth is evaluated by the dentist and appropriate precautions are taken.
